Engineering College – Part 1

It was starting of 3rd semester of my engineering. I was unhappy because of homesickness. I just came to college, not in mood to attend lectures I was sipping coffee at canteen. Looking out of window I saw light rainfall.

Suddenly I got call from my girlfriend. She was my batch mate and she informed me of her return being postponed to a week. I said ok and hung up the phone. How could she do that to me? I became very upset. We were on vacation for almost a month, we haven’t seen each other, we haven’t kissed for month, we haven’t had sex for month and when I fill like it she was not with me. All this was going through my mind, as intensity of my thoughts increased so as of rain. I thought of burying myself and was still looking out of window. I saw someone running in rain towards canteen.

The person running towards canteen reached. I saw her. Yes that was a girl came running in heavy rain and now she was trying to remove excess water from her hairs and clothes. I saw her at the entrance with she holding her hairs and squeezing them. She got up took her specs out and was trying to wipe it out dry. My previous thoughts subsided with curiosity for that girl. She came in, went to order something, got her order as its self service and took it and took a corner table. Our tables had 2 more tables in between but no one was sitting on them. I did not know from how much time I was staring at her. I forgot rain, homesickness, girlfriend etc. I had nothing in mind, I was just looking at her.

She was wearing brown colored salwar and white colored kamiz. Neat sandle and matching earrings. She was drenched in water I could see her bra and panty strips through her wet dress. By that time I realized something is not correct. Then seeing me confused she said

She: are you in 2nd year?

Me: yes.

She: I am your new assistant lecturer.

She: how can you do so without knowing anything?

Me: you don’t look like lecturer.

She: how do lecturers look like?

Me: They are aged, matured, not so good looking and dull?

She: so you think I am not matured?

Me: I didn’t mean to say that.

She: What do you mean then?
Me:( o god she keep asking me questions how can I tell her that she is too sexy for this job) sorry mam.

I just kept quiet while looking down, I was shit scared if she tell our HOD about this then I will be gone. She saw me, recognized my condition and burst out laughter.

She: Don’t worry I will not tell anybody. By the way my name is Nikita Jain(name changed).

She: now I am going to HOD.

Embarrassed by the situation I left lab and came to canteen. I was having coffee then I saw her coming in canteen with other staff members. While in canteen she didn’t even bother to smile back. Lots of things were running in my mind. I decided to ask her about this but then thought that she is not my gf to ask her these type of questions and left subject there.

On next day I got crossed her on stairs she gave smile but I do not replied. She asked me what happened I said nothing. She asked me to come to lab. I went. She asked me again, I said nothing. Then she said something I do not believe on my ears.

She: If you do not tell me what happened I will complaint about you of hitting on me to HOD.

I was dumbstruck. I could not collect myself up. I did not realise what to say.

She: I noticed you hitting on me from start, now tell me what’s the problem?

Me: I was hitting because I didn’t know you are lecturer.

She: I am listening.

Me: I really liked you when first time I saw u, I don’t know how this happened but I could not stop thinking about you for second. When I smiled at you in canteen you turned your head and I got hurt. Thats it.

She: hmmm

Me: yeah.

She: I was with other staff members so I don’t know how to react in front of them. Thats why I did it. Sorry if I hurt you. Now go to your class.

Me: OK

As college had just started there were no lectures. I directly came home and while thinking of the conversation I got some positive points out of it. When I confessed my crush on her she did not scold me or said anything about it, when I told her about her head turning she gave me explanation and said sorry. Why would any lecturer would do that? I came to conclusion that she feels something for me. But how can this be possible just in 2 days? I am not celebrity or a model that I can make someone fall for me and that too my lecturer in just 2 days. But I am highly optimistic person so I decided to know it.

Next day I didn’t go to college. At around 2pm I got call from my batch mate that new teacher was asking about me. I got happy and started dancing in excitement. That was the third day. I went to college the next day.
